A beautiful day in Austria – brilliant sun and a crisp -6 degrees C!
Start of the JWC competition today with Mica McNeill and Nikki McSweeney are drawn off 3rd at 14:00 local time here in Igls. The girls had a good practice session yesterday and hopes are high for the competition today. We’ll have two cameras trackside today to capture as much of the action as a possible up at the Olympic Sliding Centre

So on to the big race.

AWESOME! What else can we say? Mica and Nikki came 3rd in the Junior World Championships ahead of a field of 18 other countries. The weather was perfect, warm dry and sunny although the temperature never got above -6 degrees.

We had two video camera’s as well as a stills camera track-side and captured loads of high speed footage of the teams zooming down the track. We’ve been really impressed with how all the batteries are holding up – no significant loss of power or duration which has made our life easier.

You can see the girls in action as well as some of the actual track in the following shots

Performance Director Gary Anderson was hopeful before the event started, but was delighted with the end result.

Ably coached by Lee Johnston the girls were overjoyed at the result and happy to be placed ahead of some tough competition from the Russian and home team from Austria.
